Senior Vice President, Regional Retail Executive

John Slavik serves as regional retail executive - south & senior vice president for Fifth Third Bank. He is responsible for overseeing five market retail executives within 276 Financial Centers throughout Florida, Georgia, Tennessee, North Carolina & South Carolina.  

John previously served as retail executive in South Florida, leading five regional managers and 78 financial centers to success.   

Throughout his career with Fifth Third, John has developed a passion for creating connections, providing behavioral coaching, and leading his team to act with agility.  

John earned his bachelor’s degree in business management from Xavier University and his master’s degree in business administration from Baldwin Wallace College.  He is also a graduate of the leadership deep dive program at Case Western Reserve University. 

Professional and Civic 
John has a passion to give back to the community. He is a board member of Earn to Learn Florida (formerly the Women’s Foundation), the Hispanic Chamber of NEOH, and the United Way of Collier & the Keys.   

He earned the President’s Circle award five times, in every role he held. He is a co-chair of the Fifth Third Bank Women’s Business Resource Group. He provides consistent monthly mentorship across the organization.  

John previously served as a Big Brother in Ohio and is a United Way Leadership-level giver. He taught Junior Achievement for over five years and continues work to develop school partnerships in South FL. 

John’s hobbies include outdoor activities, basketball, running, boxing, volunteerism, spending time with family, and vacationing.
